Teeth Whitening

Let us tell you why you need to go for a teeth whitening treatment. Well here are the reasons that are sure to convince you! You look at the mirror and try to put that perfect smile which will entice any person you want. But you know with those yellow patches, it can never be that perfect! This is not the case with you only but with most of the people

According to the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry’s findings of 1998, 85% of adults believe that an ugly yellow smile puts off the opposite sex! Do not become angry or sad because you can actually remove those ugly patches by using teeth whitening products! Tooth whitening is not a costly procedure and can be done either at home or at professional clinic. From strips of readily available teeth whitener and tooth pastes to costly clinical procedure you can avail anything you want and get the patches away.

Teeth whitening is a safe option to clean your teeth surface and it has very little side effect. It actually uses a chemical known as peroxide which has a no harsh effect on your tooth surface but helps to remove the stain. However there are people who feel minor gum and teeth irritation. If such a thing happens then stop using the toothpaste for some days and then start again.

But be cautious about using many at home whitening methods. These methods are generally based on misconceptions and only make your teeth weaker. Do not apply lemon juice or any other citrus fruit on your teeth because it contains citric acid which will only eat up your enamel leaving it brittle.

Getting a stain free white smile at home needs patience and might take several weeks to yield result. You may however get instant result by going for clinical cleansing process done by a dentist. Over the counter teeth whitening products however does not last for more than one year, and in some cases it lasts for two years. But the process being less expensive and easy you can repeat it after every six months.

The best way to keep stains away from your teeth is to maintain oral hygiene. Brush your teeth regularly twice a day and maintain proper dental hygiene. Do not indulge in foods like soy sauce, berries, and cherries which have ingredients that can cause pigmentation. Do not indulge in too much of coffee, tea or cold drinks like colas which can lead to pigmentation.

You also need to know some very wrong procedures which people generally follow and believe in. One is hard and prolonged brushing of teeth. Such a thing does not provide you white teeth but only makes the tooth enamel weak. Also all whitening tooth pastes available in the market are not good and many do not have peroxide which is accredited by American Dental Association as being safe for tooth. So look to it that you are not using the wrong tooth paste and making your case worst.

With teeth whitening being such an easy and cheap method why should you keep yourself from smiling? Laugh your heart out and see the world falling at your feet.
